Staying near the Cairnryan ferry port

Cairnryan, on Loch Ryan just north of Stranraer, is the Scottish port for ferries to Northern Ireland: Stena Line sails to Belfast and P&O Ferries to Larne, all year round.

Early sailings and late arrivals are easier with a bed nearby. New Luce is a quiet village a short drive inland, away from the port traffic, with dinner, a drink and breakfast under one roof.

Before you travel

  • Check sailing times and check-in deadlines with Stena Line or P&O Ferries; timetables change through the year.
  • Let us know your sailing time when you book, and we'll do our best to fit around it.
