A riverside village inn in the heart of Galloway
Welcome to The Kenmuir Arms
A glass-fronted restaurant, a snug bar and three ensuite rooms beside the Water of Luce, in a quiet village between the Galloway hills and the sea. The inn belongs to New Luce: the village bought it, rebuilt it, and opened its doors again for everyone.
Worth the drive, and still the village local
Lunch and dinner in the glass-fronted restaurant, or a drink in the snug. Our menus live here as proper pages, so you can read them on your phone before you set off.

Large, individually decorated ensuite bedrooms, with dinner downstairs, the river outside and the deep quiet of a Galloway village at night.
The village that saved its inn
When the Kenmuir Arms closed, New Luce voted to buy it. The village's own trust rebuilt it with local hands, funded by the windfarm in the hills above, and opened its doors again in 2023.

A new chapter
Under some of the darkest skies in Britain
